The world of racket sports is entering a new era! The Australian Open 2025 has become not only an arena for traditional tennis battles, but also a platform for the debut of the rapidly gaining popularity pickleball.

The organizers held the AO Pickleball Slam, the first-ever pickleball tournament on the Grand Slam courts, with a prize pool of $100,000.
From January 24 to 26, 2025, Melbourne Park’s court #3 became the epicenter of events that demonstrate the rapid growth of pickleball’s popularity. The AO Pickleball Slam is a celebration of inclusivity where everyone can find something for themselves, regardless of their level of training.

The final of the AO25 Pickleball Slam between Hosier and Guildford teams was a real culmination of the tournament, demonstrating a high level of competition and a tense struggle for every point. The match ended in a 6-6 victory for Hosier, followed by a 5-point tiebreaker where Hosier won with a 5-4 score, bringing them the championship title.
